| If I could change one thing in the world, it would be: |
Simply put: sustainability. It would be a wake-up call to help people (mainly governments and corporations) put things into perspective and begin working toward common goals. |
| I think the most important environmental issue is: |
I'll have to come to this one. Choosing one issue over others is not an easy task. |
| The greenest thing I do is: |
I would say it is being a responsible consumer. Where we choose to put our money is a powerful way to move toward greener lifestyles. My children are influenced by my decisions, and I am happy to see them learning to be responsible in their decisions as well. |
| What does "sustainability" mean to me: |
In a nutshell, it means not taking more than I can use, or more than I can give back. It is manifested in economic terms (buying fair trade, second-hand, and choosing fewer items that are of higher quality rather than many cheap and possibly toxic items over a longer span of time), ecological terms (energy use, composting...), and even in day-to-day relationships. |
| Why am I passionate about being green? |
I do not want to fill myself, my kids, my home or my environment with toxins. I respect life. I believe in sustainability and the possibility of improvement. I want a cleaner world for my children. I will do my part to make this happen. |
| About Me |
I am an editor, writer, and translator. My heart is still in Mexico, but I have since settled in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I love dancing, traveling and writing--and hope to do more of all of these activities. |
