Waiting for fluffy mail is the hardest :(

I have several fluffy mail packages coming soon. My little guy is getting bigger and I sort of went on a bit of spree (for me anyways, since we are on a limited budget) We have 5 great kushies aios larges that we've been using since we got them a couple weeks ago. They work wonderfully and I'm really happy we got them- especially since we needed bigger diapers (i was using dappi fitteds larges that are suppose to be from 24lbs and up but they are too small for ds now and he's 25lbs- but I'll admit he is more round then tall lol), but my favorite system is going to have to stay fitteds and covers, just from preference.

Anyways, I got 1 xl fancy pants fleece soaker used Diaper Swappers FSOT, 1 xl fleece longie by wahm on DS, 2 18-32lbs organic hemp & cotton diaperap fitteds used FSOT on DS, and the teal brown dress set with purse, 2 OS fitteds and 4 inserts. (I'm going to keep the diapers and inserts and give the dress and purse to my sister- who doensn't cd anyways- for my neice, prolly as her 1st  bday present) made by wahm gstaley on cafemom.

I spent $38 total plus the $20 earlier this month for the 5 kushies aios. (that is a lot for us to spend, and I feel a little guilty because we would have been fine with just the 5 aios, but I have to remember that in the long run I'm STILL saving money then if we were using disposables)

I also just bought 2 abc wraps(not same colors- lol) and 2 wonderoos all seconds from http://swaddlebees.com/outletstore. they are a fantastic price for new. even after shipping I think it breaks down to $9.69 each for the wonderoos and $6.69 each for the abc wraps. and I dont care that they are seconds.

now i've spent $90 this month on diapers! The most I've spent prior to this month on buying cloth diapers was probably less then $50. But then we were given a lot in smaller sizes when we started cding from a freecycle mom. so I didn't really need to until he got bigger. But this gives me a decent stash for ds, and a few cute paterns to boot ;-) and if these all work well I shouldn't have to buy any more period until we have #2 (if we do have a #2) and if some of them don't work I can always trade or resell and buy something else that way.

I feel a little guilty spending this much- when we could have gotten by with the 5 aios. but I'm also really excited fo all of it to get here, lol!

Awww...how exciting KayMMIV!!!!  Fluff mail is the best!  I have only received 2 shipments of fluff mail (1 order...but shipped on two different days for some reason).  That's was a very exciting time...opening all this pretty pastel fluffy mail.  :)

I went with the BG 3.0 OS diaps.  The OS are a little more work than AIO's but not really that much more work and for us...starting CD's late (when DD was 10 mo. old) the OS diaps have proved the be the most cost effective route to go as we will not need to purchase any additional sizes since they grow with her.  I got 18 diaps and 24 flannel wipes for her stash and that has been a good number so that I only need to run a wash load every other day.  (But there are times I wish I had a few more just in case I'm too busy or tired to do the wash and hold off for a little while longer).

The diaps you got that were aqua w/ brown dots are SOOOOOO cute!!!  They look like Good Mama's (which are insanely expensive).

I must know how you got 5 Kushies AIO's for only $20? That's amazing!  Where are you shopping????  Please share!

I recently ordered 2 more BG 3.0's because I had a coupon code for KellysCloset.com (which I will share below) for free shipping and $5 off your order of $50+ (only 10% if you stick to the $50...but still... it helps).  I was really excited to see that they finally came out with a sherberty orange color (Clementine) (a color I wished they had from the start) so I had to add it to my stash.  If they ever add a lavender into the mix then I may have to consider getting 1-2 more.  After all.....when we have the next baby we will need at least 24 on hand unless I wash every single day...but I feel it's more efficient (water and energy wise) to wash every other day.

Soooo...I have fluff mail on the way too!  YAY!!!!!

Anyways....here is the coupon code I mentioned...in case anyone wants / needs it.  I got it from my Mothering Magazine and it's good for 3 online stores.  Kelly's Closet often has good sales...BabyLegs were recently 50% off....but silly me I did not take advantage and now I wish I did.

Code: MOTHER2 (expires 2/25/09)

Good at the following online stores:

www.OneSizeDiaperStore.com

www.KellysCloset.com

www.FuzziBunzOnline.com

congrats on getting your fluffy mail, Amanda!!!

I've got most of it, I will have to take pics and write reviews soon, it's been super busy around here. we have 2 more xl bumkins, several more fitteds, some inserts with the fitteds and 4 trainers, all used fsot off diaper swappers or diaper pin

I have never tried a gm, I just can't choke spending that much on a diaper, even the used prices are outrageous. But the os fitteds we got do seem similar in design and material, they have the same soft organic velour inside them. so soft!!! and they fit ds wonderfully.

I am also really digging the wonderoo pockets, the material on the inside i think is fleece? (not sure on that, feels like fleece) but it leaves ds totally dry on his skin and pulls all the moisture into the mf inserts.

i got the kushies used from a cafemomer ;-) used is very cost effective so unless there's really good deal on clearance or seconds we stick to used ;-)
