It first appeared in Business Week...but here you go.  It's not much...but it's still pretty exciting.

We received a takedown notice from the photographer for this image. This is a direct link to see it.

And according to AutoblogGreen,

"The car will be a four door fastback with a hatch which should prove to be an interesting sales challenge in the U.S. market. We know that Tesla has been using Dodge Magnum body shells as powertrain mules for the Model S and the Tesla is expected to be a similar overall size to the now discontinued wagon. Unlike the Roadster with its carbon fiber body, the Model S will be constructed largely of aluminum to help bring the cost down closer to the $60,000 target starting price." Hah I was hoping for more than just the car's butt!

$60k is certainly an improvement from $100k, but still way out of most people's price range, unfortunately.  Keep bringing that price down, Tesla!

They've made a fan out of me...I wantto see them succeed so badly, but I'd agree that I'm a bit concerned about the pricing.

Yeah, unfortunately I don't think the Model S is a "car for the people."  But I've got my fingers crossed that they'll actually get to make the Blue Star.

Tesla is already in a class apart from the rest of the world. You get what you pay for. I already want to buy the Model S that will have the luxury of Tesla  Motorcars adoption of the AC Propulsion power system. The extreme power and smooth adjustable traction-controlled regenerative braking packaged Tesla Motorcars Model S standard of excellence, I believe will truly worth $60,000.

Tesla is involved with testing vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology that can allow intelligent charging with financial benefits to the car owner and power benefits to the grid all in miracle millisecond magic. I currently recharge from home solar power at no additional cost so the $60,000 luxury still makes real sense to me.

Picture this  Still think it’s not worth $60,000?
