Hello all,

I'm kinda stuck on a project I've started so I hope somebody here can offer some suggestions.

 .
Oh POOP  I'm not used to this yet, and deleted my post trying to update/upgrade it.  Please email me  carrowor2002@yahoo.com and I'll send you the "specs" if you think you can help.  I'm really baffled and confuse, both by my project and why I can't paste into this editor.

Carrowor,

I don't know the first thing about this, but I put your question up to some folks who might and got a response:

"Add a new electrical service panel (or disconnect box) before the existing service panel. (Remove the jumper from neutral to ground in the existing panel.) Wire a contactor between the new and old panels, with the coil and normally open contacts connected to the power from the new panel. Wire the common contacts to the old panel and the normally closed contacts to the inverter. The charger connects to the new panel before the relay."

I posted a link to your question here over at Ecomodder.com - here's a link in case you have follow up questions. Good luck!

Thanks for the help,  printed that out, dug out my funk and wagnells and now looking up the terminology  LOL.  I get the drift just gotta wake up and figure out how to do it.  The idiots who built this camper left absolutely no slack anywhere and the converter is jammed up under the only counter in the camper so gotta real challenge going on.  Specially difficult as I'm handicapped and don't move around very well.  LOL

Well somehow I deleted the original message,  can't paste the new info into this editor so I hope some people are electrically knowledgeable and have the time to respond to my E-mail and or yahoo messenger to chat/discuss my problems.  Personally I think I've read more into the problem than there is but I'd rather be overcautious than burn the whole unit up.  LOL
