I posted this article on greenUPGRADER yesterday about CT's new subsidized solar leases. Basically they allow CT residents that can't afford the normal upfront cost to get a residential solar system. This sounds like a great solution to overcoming the cost hurdles of individuals going solar, but I don't know if I like the idea of not owning the equipment. Plus the cost is a fixed monthy rate that varies home to home but they estimate the average home will end up paying $120 a month. That is still a lot of money. Granted, 10 years from now, that will be basically pocket change.
