Jack Nicholson - hydrogen/solar visionary?

Our friends over at EcoGeek found an amazing video of Jack Nicholson promoting hydrogen powered cars and solar electricity from the 70's...they talk a HUGE game about the likely rate of adoption of the technology and the potential impact, but we all know that hasn't fully played out.

With modern technology and this current upswell in interest and investment, I know we can do better. Regardless, this is absolutely worth a watch:

Deej,

hahaha, what a great video.....Intertesting how Jack was part of the solar / energy efficency movement of the 70s which was squashed out by congress because they removed the tax credit under the feet of a budding industry.

It seems like the clean energy movment has tried to break groud for a long time but the forces have kept burrying the movement because there is a lot of money in controlling the supply of energy.

The american people have demanded clean energy for a long time, it seems like the peoples demands are unheard of in this country. Agian, I have read polls this year that over 80% of Americans want solar power although our federal tax credit is set to expire at the end of this year without any renewal in sight. Is this going to be another solar power boom and bust like the 70s?
