My wife and I often felt guilty because many recyclables in our house were not making it into the recycle bin. We looked for a good solution in stores and could not find one, so we decided to invent our own. The Solecan™ is a dual-sided trash can; the two halves snap together in the middle, with one side designated for trash and the other for recycling. By unsnapping the two halves, one can easily empty trash into the larger trash can and the recycling into the family’s main recycling bin. This way, family members have no excuse not to recycle that magazine in the bedroom, waste paper in our home office, or the empty shampoo bottle in the bathroom. The Solecan™ will be manufactured here in the U.S. out of recycled plastic, so its eco-footprint will be as small as possible. It comes in a variety of interesting colors. The Solecan™ is live on Kickstarter and the campaign will run through Earth Day (April 22). The website for the campaign is: http://kck.st/YUTM0H There is a video that shows the Solecan™ in action and you can see who we are! We really need eco-conscious folks to spread the word to make our dream of super convenient eco-friendly recycling happen. Thanks for your consideration and support!
