Clean Green Nuclear Energy Is A Reality With Thorium

In 1828 this fellow discovered Thorium, an abundant natural resource that is 200 more time as powerful as uranium with ABSOLUTELY ZERO POSSIBILITY OF A MELT-DOWN or other catastrophic failure. According to the EPA and CDC common coal is three time more harmful to humans, and the wast of Thorium is one-tenth that of uranium at half the cost. Best of all, no nuclear weapons can be made from Thorium so every country can enjoy nuclear power even Iran without fear.

In fact if Thorium was used in place of Uranium as nuclear fuel, Three Mile Island, Chernobyl, and Fukishima would not be famous places today. Even the Dupont company recommended in 1959 to the U.S. government that Thorium be designated "as the safest nuclear fule option".  Dupont was ignored only because the Pentagon was hell-bent on making nuclear weapons which are only possible with uranium and plutonium.

America has enough Thorium deposits to power the entire world for the next 1,000 years. China, India, and Norway have already switched over to Thorium. Why not America?  Before you start screaming "Radiation" educate yourself first at these links, see what MIT has to say and then we can have an intelligent debate based on FACTS and not rumors and deliberate disinformation...

Yep, this is a no-brainer. Thorium is a real solution that is strangely being ignored. The Thorium plasma battery is even more disruptive technology.  It is a battery that lives longer than people and never needs a recharge. It has the same radiation level as a cell phone.  Can you imagine never buying another drop of gasoline except for your lawn mower?  The technology is here and you can read about it here at these two links

CensorshipSucks, the trick is not "thorium" but how it is used.  Try this to find out what I mean

Glow, I hate to rain on your parade but the "thorium battery" aka the "thorium car" is a scam.  Beware!

Note to John Randall: I don't see any mention here in these links about a "Thorium Car" and the only thing I can find on the internet referencing a Thorium car is a concept car made by Cadillac, a division of General Motors - a publicly-traded company. So where is the "scam". Here is the link on the Cadillac news item...

As for the Thorium plasma batteries, Tesla first envisioned them in the early 1900s and the first nuclear battery was built in the 1980s and is powering NASA's voyager for almost two decades. Attached is a diagram of that first generation nuclear battery called an "RTG". According to all the links I can now find on the internet going back to 1998 (A white paper written by Dr. Khanna of Harvard - see attached) the second and third generation plasma batteries have been in use exclusively by the U.S. military according to these links since 2004-2006.  I did find a reference to Thorium powered bullet trains. (see attached link from last year)  Read an enlighten yourself.

If there was a scam, someone somewhere would be asking for investment money or selling some plasma batteries on the internet, or hyping some penny stock of a company manufacturing the batteries. Where do you see such shady activity? Likewise, if there was a scam, surely by now people would be screaming all over the internet yes?

I suppose the first time someone told you abuut the fax machine, mobile phone, or robot vaccuum cleaner, you called them a scam as well? Just because you or I don't now about something does not mean it doesn't exist. Those who read learn. Those who are ignorant remain so by choice.

There is no doubt these plasma batteries are out there. But they are the cutting-edge  third generation of nuclear batteries. Maybe some of you will recall that the first nuclear battery was used by NASA in 1961 when the Voyager was launched using the RTG atomic battery pictured above. For those of you who do not remember, here are the llinks,

http://www.space.com/13702-nuclear-generators-rtg-power-nasa-planetary-probes-infographic.html

The New York Times also carried an interesting article about the second generation of the nuclear battery here at this link,

http://www.environmentalgraffiti.com/technology/news-i-want-nuclear-batteries-my-electric-car-okay

For a complete history of NASA's non-classified use of nuclear batteries in the past you can visit this link,

http://www.space4peace.org/ianus/npsm3.htm   and here is the DoE's official publication  on atomic batteries http://www.ne.doe.gov/pdfFiles/NPSPACE.PDF

The problem is that the third generaltion of nuclear batteries (Thorium Plasma Batteries) are the ones most useful and practical for earthly applications but thus far only the military has access to these incredible devices that coul power our cars, boats, trains, etc. without ever needing a recharge.  See these links,

But I frankly think these new plasma batteries are so advnaced that they probably have strategic value and maybe should be controlled by the military as this Navy veteran explains in his two posts at another forum,

http://www.energeticforum.com/renewable-energy/10974-nuclear-thorium-plasma-battery-victim-technology-suppression-2.html#post189198

How do you balance national security with environmental needs and who gets to decide this?  Should it be Congress, The President, or the Pentagon?

CORRECTION:  Glow, the first atomic battery was used in 1961 not the "1980s" as you posted.  However it was not known until 1991 when it was finally declassified. Here is the link:

As you can see it takes a long time to find out about top secret technologies and perhaps by 2025 Uncle Sam might admit they have been using the newest version of the nucler battery - the

Thorium plasma bttery since 2006.  Why so secret?  These two links will explain better than me:

Sorry glow but you made a mistake on your dates. The first nuclear battery was used by NASA in 1961 according to this link: http://www.space.com/13702-nuclear-generators-rtg-power-nasa-planetary-probes-infographic.html   But it was not made public until 1990 because it was classified for military purposes. This is the same problem we are having now with the Thorium plasma battery. Uncle Sam may eventually admit around 2030 they have been using them since 2006 for stiff like this:

Dimitri Petronov.jpg

I hope you all saw what happened to the inventor of the Thorium Plasma Battery (Dimitri Petronov)?  This is getting ugly friends.

http://www.theenvironmentsite.org/forum/showthread.php?42159-Plasma-Energy-Battery-Inventor-Dimitri-Petronov-Found-in-Moscow-Dead The story is not complete until you know about Zachary Greene Warfield  and his connection with Dimitri. Check this out: http://www.missing-or-murdered.blogspot.com/

Over a year ago I read this link and knew something was going on but I am still not sure who is behind all this?
