Why no Green building technologies?

I thought I would see a section devoted to green building ideas going on like Straw bale houses, or the ideas that Michael Reynolds has been working on for the last 20 years or so. There are several different methods out there...it could even get into grey and black water systems . Also it would really help with people installing and hooking up all these other great ideas i see on your site here.

just a thought...

Thanks so much for the feedback!  We do have greywater systems already on the site but it's true, we don't have building materials.  We've been talking (and strategizing) quite a bit about category expansion so it's great to get your thoughts on that.

We're definitely looking to expand as the community grows.  Thanks for your participation!

As an Architect in Seattle, (an eco-building and sustainable design center), we (Seattle Architects) are, i think, on the forefront of green building technologies and materials.  I agree that a category for green building technologies and systems would be a great idea.  Buildings consume nearly 80% of the world's energy!  Let's work to reduce this figure.
