Open call for a real time Huddler feedback session

We've been getting lots of PMs, emails, and forum posts of great suggestions for the site.  So next week...we'd love to hear even more from you.  The idea is to have a real time online conversation with anyone who wants to join in.  Everyone from the Huddler team with be there, ready and excited to hear your thoughts. 

When: Wednesday, June 11th, 2008 at 5:30pm PST/8:30pm EST

Where: Meebo chat room (see below for instructions)

Here are just a few things we'll be covering in the session...

• General likes and dislikes about the site as it is now
• Feature development: we'll be talking about some of the unlaunched features we've been developing to get your feedback.
• Category expansion: What are categories you'd like to see added? 
• What discussion topics would you like to be talking about in the forums?

Now on to the nitty gritty logistics...

1. Get online Wednesday evening.  Open a web browser.
2. Go to: http://www.meebo.com/room/huddlerfeedbackroom/
3. The chat room will request a password [password: huddler880].  Type in the password and hit the "Join Room" button.
4. You will be signed in as a guest.
5. The first time you try to write something in the chat room, you will be requested to give yourself a nickname.  Please use your Huddler user name, that way other folks will have a bit of context for who they're talking to.

We'd love to hear from you.  Anyone and everyone is welcome.  So please PM me if you'd like to join!

Okay folks.  It's our hour countdown till the feedback session begins. 

The password for the meebo room is huddler880.  Come one, come all!

Thanks to those folks who helped us out by coming to the first real time Huddler feedback session.  Your input on the site is absolutely invaluable and I cannot tell you enough how much we appreciate all of it.

Just to keep you all up to date on the site progress....based on the comments from the feedback session:

1. We're making the "Join" and the "Learn More" buttons bigger and more prominent (the site tour will also be getting a makeover and it'll be another place where we link to the FAQ).
2. Also, soon we'll have screen cast tutorial videos up which should give you some visual instruction on how to do everything from messaging other Huddlers to adding products to the database.
3. As a stop gap solution for issues with seeing threads while replying in the forums...we've made the reply box even more draggable (you can now drag it almost off your screen to the left side - it does pop back as soon as you scroll down but that's so that the reply box doesn't get lost in the interwebs ether forever).  We're definitely working on a better solution, but hopefully in the short term that will help when you're trying to reference other folks' posts.
4. We're also working on a good way for you to browse the miscellaneous tags.  But in the meantime..here's a quick and dirty list for you power users to reference.
5. We've also added a few more categories, like trash bags and outdoor dryers (i.e. clotheslines and drying racks).  And don't worry - we will be added more categories in time.  If you have any more suggestions, feel free to tell us here.
