Givmo.com - https://www.givmo.com/ - is a new website where you can give away your unused or unwanted stuff to someone else who can actually use it, for free. And, for each item given away, Givmo will donate $1 to a green charity.
Givmo is a web based community that helps solves the problem of "too much stuff". What happens when we have too much stuff? Either we continue to hold on it, moving it from one house to another, storing it in a closet or garage, OR we eventually wind up throwing it out, contributing to the ever increasing size of our landfills. But, most of the stuff we toss or keep in dust covered boxes is still usable and useful. Just because we don't need it anymore doesn't mean someone else wouldn't be thrilled to get it!
By using Givmo, you can post a photo of an item you no longer need (for free) and connect to someone else who's been looking for that exact thing! We're solving problems and reaping benefits all at the same time. It all but cleans our messy closets, we're recycling— which is super eco-friendly AND we've done a good deed for our stuff and for someone else. Not to mention that it just generally feels amazing to give.
