Leaf power!

I was watching some of my dvr shows this weekend trying to catch up. I came across this news feed that says the gov. has created energy from a single leaf that produced enough energy for 45 hours before it collasped. I was just thinking about that the other day tapping into trees for energy production. Since most ppl have trees in the front or backyards.

That's incredible that a single leaf can provide so much energy.  I'll have to find the video on YouTube.

I'm looking at my back yard and thinking that I could probably power the entire northeast!  Seriously, how were they extracting that kind of energy - it seems far fetched, but would be great if it was true or even close to true.
