What did you do today?

Every day we face a number of choices (large or small) where we can do something more sustainable or...well...a bit less.  Even if you're not saving the whales every day or buying an electric car, we should all be proud of even the small sustainable choices we make.

So what did you do today?

To kick it off, here's what I've done in the last 4 hours since I woke up...

  • Took public transportation to work
  • Recycled a cardboard cereal box
  • Brought reusable bags for when I hit the grocery store later today

I wish I could be so optimistic! For every scrap I compost, I read 5 articles about other people wiping my impact and that of everyone I know off the table with their own decisions. What's a guy to do?  I guess you still have to try, though.

Today, I:

-took public transport to commute (+)

-shared a few articles on sustainability (+)

-took the shortest shower possible (+)

-ate some lettuce that decided to grow itself in our garden (+)

-ate McDonalds (DOH!)

See? There I go, wiping out my good deeds. Those people who manage to stay on the greenest path possible are really something to envy.
