Yes! Very true. I live in LA and they offer some great services. Personally, I used the metro bus line - all natural gas! 99% less pollution!

One of the bus lines that used to be around me powered their buses with Bio-Diesel. A lot of people used it. In terms of tips, I suggest bringing an ipod or something to read. Enrich your knowledge with the extra time.

Great link! If there is public transportation options available, why drive to work? It saves money, can save time, depending on traffic and route, is quite safe and you get to play with your smartphone/read/work/relax while doing it.

 

I usually take the bus to work. It is convenient, especially in Gothenburg, Sweden were we have a bus or tram arriving every 2-5 minutes in heavily used routes.
