Toyota Motor Corp. just announced that they'll be officially announcing the all-electric sport-utility vehicle the company is developing with affiliate Tesla Motors Inc., at the Los Angeles auto show in November.
The electric RAV4 compact SUV won't be marketed in the U.S. until 2012, but that's likel not going to halt the buzz. The electric RAV4's battery pack and electric motor will both be supplied by Palo Alto, California-based Tesla. According to Toyota, "Tesla plans to produce and deliver a fleet of prototypes to Toyota for evaluation within this year. The first prototype has already been built and is now undergoing testing."
You can check in November for an up-to-date list of Hybrid & Alternative Fuel Vehicles for 2010 at the L.A. auto show website.
