Green Job Market May be Growing

If you're considering a green job, this could be the perfect time. An updated map list compiled by Environmental Defense Fund shows that there are more than 3,500 “green” businesses in California.

These maps tell the story of companies across California involved in green buildings, energy generation, energy efficiency, transportation and much more.

While yeah, the maps only point to CA businesses it's encouraging for the country as a whole. It shows that more green businesses could be excellent for the economy, in spite of what some other people think.

Yes! Green employment is growing.  My own proof for it is that my green job search engine, The Green Job Bank, recently has reached 10,000 green jobs currently available, the largest number of green jobs in any website.

"In the past year, GM has invested nearly $1 billion in electric vehicles. And last month, the carmaker broke ground on a $270 million electric motor plant near Baltimore, Md.

The project will create more than 200 blue-collar and managerial positions, along with hundreds more assembly line jobs when the plant starts production.

Such expectations have other carmakers staking out their corner of the market, as well.

Nissan has its all-electric Leaf; Toyota is working on a small electric car; and Mitsubishi

and Honda have models ready to roll into showrooms by the end of the year.

Industry analysts predict there could be as many as 1.5 million electric cars on U.S. roads by 2015.

But Magliano also thinks that green technology will boost economic growth and create tens of thousands of new jobs."
