Hi everyone!
I'm new to the site, even though I have been lurking for a while. In short, I'm a 24 year old from Sweden with a masters decree in environmental science that love to discuss and find new angles on environmental issues. My latest pet environmental issue is the dreaded commute, probably because I am an intern at a company that strive to help people change commuting habits... And it seems like one of the most hated things of the day, but also one of the things people are least inclined to change.
Anyway, how do you commute? Is it even possible to use public or alternative transportation, or is the car the only option? Have the county been trying to promote a good bicycle-environment? As it is now, I'm trying to learn as much about how it is in other parts of the world as I can... Especially how the situation is in North America. Our commuting habits contribute a huge deal to our daily environmental impact, and using the bike one day of the week could make a big impact.
