Best home wall and roof systems

We are just beginning the process of planning a new Efficient, eco friendly home.

Does anyone know where I can get definitive information to compare Cost, and efficiency of the various wall and roof systems available?

We are looking at ICF, Sip, conventional with high performance Framing, staggered stud, Strawbale, and concrete- earth berm, as well as the different insulations to go with each.

We want to consider everything. The impact of most systems is not too difficult, but the trus cost and efficiency comparison is not.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Not sure where you could get a comparative listing of the different types but I would suggest the true cost would be different for each individual. Are you looking to do a lot of the work yourself or are you hiring it all done? Does your lifestyle require a lot of light (windows) or could you live with some what less natural light. Does your area have naturally occurring raw material to work with? Does your building site have a slope? Does it have good drainage? All of these and many more factor figure into the value each system brings. Personally I'm a big fan of ICF construction. The first layer of foam insulation stops the cold (or heat) on the outside of the building and does not allow thermal bridging while the concrete core add a large mass that will stabilize the buildings core temperature. These buildings are relatively earthquake, tornado and fire, proof. As a rule I use a conventional truss roof but sure would like to hear from people who have use SIP products to cover their homes. If your building site is beyond and gone, it might not be practical to get a cement truck and a pump to location but otherwise with a bit of training and good advice from your ICF supplier, most handy type people can build a basic ICF home themselves. Just remember that wet, unset concrete is a dragon!
