Interesting piece from the NYTs about how Europe is far ahead of the USÂ when it comes to using trash for clean energy. According to the Times, waste-to-energy plants are becoming common-place in Europe, with 29 such plants in Denmark alone and around 400 plants in total in Europe plus new ones on the way. The U.S. however is way behind with only 87 plants and all are super old. It'd be nice if the U.S. could get on board here and start using all the trash we create for energy...
