Thread Displays Too Small

Thread Starter

I'm not really a fan of the way forum threads display. It annoys me that I can't use my browser's default scroll bar to view threads. The window they display in is also kind of small, and the sidebar along the left is unnecessary in my mind. It just gets filtered out by my advertising/nonsense/unimportant information filter.

Despite the critique, I do like the site overall. Nice work!

Totally fair criticism - all of us at Huddler are long time forum users and hated the fact that once you're in the middle of a long thread, you're totally trapped and can't navigate anywhere else on the site. So the logic with the left hand bar and static top navigation was to give you more options of other interesting threads and things worth seeing. Once you've read one it turns gray until a response comes in, etc. There are definitely some cool aspects to how we're doing things, but if you find it restrictive I understand.

We've been considering some layout changes for the forums so we'll keep you in the loop and hopefully get some more valuable feedback along the way. Thanks - keep it coming,

I really like the OTHER THREADS section on the left and the way it turns grey.  Very helpful to navigate quickly. Could it be made collapsable to satisfy those who don't care for it?
