Channel the energy of millions of people to fight global poverty using solar power and social action. Rising energy prices are tragically affecting over one billion people. Almost 5,000 children die each day from a lack of fresh drinking water, and 15,000 adults die each day from starvation. These and other crises are directly linked to energy prices and have become much more severe around the world.
How does the solar charity project work?
Our donors sponsor solar power cells that will produce clean power in the U.S., and in turn fund vital assistance programs that help to fight global poverty. 100% of public donations go to the construction of the cells, and revenue from the cells provides funding for assistance programs. You can choose the location of the cells you want to sponsor and customize them with a photo or company logo. Each solar cell is $12.50 to sponsor.
What impact will my donation have?
The solar cells you sponsor will build critical renewable energy infrastructure here in the U.S., and generate clean power for years to come. Your cells will also continue to fund non-profit programs that provide fresh drinking water, food, electrification, and micro loans to the world's poorest people. How do I sponsor a solar cell?
Click on the solar array map at the top of this page to choose your cells or click on a name in the donor list to choose cells near that person. Follow a few easy steps to complete your donation, then upload your photo or company logo to display on your cells.
