Hollywood stars have trouble building green homes

Personally, I'm guessing Hollywood folks have fewer issues building green homes because money will often speed things up considerablly, but if you're interetesed in the greener parts of Hollywood, then you might like this - Hollywood celebrities build green homes -- not always easy for them, either. I'd hold back on the tears for them though, they seem to be doing ok :)

I'm sure there are some hollywood stars with sincere intent towards doing their part to live a exemplary sustainable life. But the Hollywood stereotype of excessive life-styles & massive mansions communicates a value set that is definitely NOT green.

I once dated a woman who really wanted a hybrid car... but she was waiting until a manufacturer came out with a model that was fast, sporty & powerful. She didn't see any irony there at all.
I see a similar irony in Hollywood types desire for a green image... maybe they want to feel good about looking eviro-green, but they still want the big/fast car.

I'll believe in the sincerity of a Hollywood movie-star's green intentions when they live in a small efficient house, drive a small efficient vehicle & give up the personal jet. Putting a few solar panels on the roof of the mansion doesn't rate for much.

Ya i too think some hollywood stars are trying very hard to build green homes.

Me too! Some are, but I think very few from the looks of things. Most (when I see articles) try to live with their current means, only they green it up, i.e. like you said, solar panels on a McMansion. Not green!
