Porsche Debuts Plans for First Plug-In Hybrid

Porsche used the recent Geneva Auto Show as a tool to debut their new 918 Spyder; a brand new sexy, sporty electric concept car which marks the first plug in hybrid for Porsche.

This electric car claims emissions of 70g CO2/km, fuel economy of 78 mpg US (3L / 100 km) while lapping the 'Ring in 7:30, hitting 100km/h in 3.2 seconds, and peaking at 320 km/h (198 mph). But of course what everyone really wants is the look - if you can afford it.

I'm skeptical. But... if it can go fast and looks awesome then why not?

No surprise really. In Motor Trend was as article: Porsche vs. Tesla; and from 0 to 60 the Tesla beat the Porsche.  It seems like the natural thing for Porsche to do to hide the embarrassment. :D

İt does not get great battery life at high acceleration or speeds they state in one article which is only logical.

Looks neat but will make a Tesla look cheap İ suppose.
