Look at this cool new concept; the Blue Forest at the Benenden School in Kent, an Eco-Classroom that will help the school meet the UK governments' goals for ‘Sustainable Schools’ under the national curriculum and provide students with real world experience regarding green living.

The classroom is a beautiful building constructed of sustainably harvested timber and surrounded by mature parkland and woodland that demonstrates eco-principles in action. Features include a green roof, totally off the grid capabilities, composting toilets and filtered rainwater for drinking water.

The classroom was built by Blue Forest, a sustainable and luxury treehouse company.

This classroom structure is believed to be the first building in the UK that processes rainwater via a sedum, or “green” roof into hot and cold drinking water via solar power.

You can see many more images of this very cool structure at the Blue Forest website.
