Christmas Tree Conundrum -- Potted, Plastic or DIY Cardboard?!?

'Tis the season to decorate our homes with twinkley lights and holiday frippery -- but which type of Christmas tree will make Mother Nature smile long after we remove our final strand of LED lights? Perhaps the real answer is in your recycling container? http://bit.ly/5w7hV7

Fortunately where I live we don't have to go through the Christmas thing!

Not one Christmas light or decoration to my name!

Guess that means I don't have to go dumpster diving.

Humbug, and to think you live near  where St Nicholas lived. Get with the spirit Russ!!

Hi Brian, Long time no see!

I have actually visited the town where the old church is located.

My kids will still expect us to send money so my wife can get the spirit as she makes the transfer!

Yea, if I remember right, some Italian sailors stole St Nick's body from that church. Too bad Christmas is so expensive!

We're either going with a live tree or no tree. It's looking like no tree this year. Last year we made one with recycled tissue paper.

Here the holiday is Ramadan - much more centered on visiting old friends and family. Not really commercial at all.

The fasting (which was a couple of months back) I certainly don't bother to participate in. Not a problem as my wife is equally religious as I.
