Tofurkey -- From Respectable Thanksgiving Meat Alternative To Veggie-rific Soda Flavor?!?

People either love it or absolutely despise it -- Tofurkey, that lip-smacking and somewhat rubbery, protein-packed vegetarian treat.

Even the name prompts eyebrows to launch sideways and noses to turn up in unison, but the folks over at Jones Soda Company are attempting to demonstrate that tastebuds from here to Timbuktu can be tickled pink (...er "brown") when eau du Tofurkey is added to their bubbly beverage: http://www.greenwala.com/community/groups/all/140-Eco-tastic-Holiday-Extravaganza/topics/1059

The real question is: will it make you more likely to tango with Tofurkey on a regular basis, whether you are a mainstream meat eater or not?

I hate Tofurkey. I was a total veggie for about 10 years or so, tried it once, and hated it. There are better fake meat products if you want to go that route.

That's funny...I think that I am easier to please in the fake meat department than most people. Not only do I enjoy Tofurky, I really love Field Roast by the Grain Meat Company!

I like the Morning Star items. I used to be SO obsessed with their buffalo wings. I like the grillers too. I've actually met quite a few folks who like Tofurkey, I just think it tastes like blah. Never heard of Field Roast though.
