The Apeiron Institute for Environmental Living in Rhode Island works to "create ecologically healthy communities by bringing sustainable living practices from around the world to Southeastern New England." The Institute Headquarters is in Providence and the Education Center (one of the greenest buildings in the state) is in Coventry.
They have a variety of volunteering opportunities ranging from working on the Sustainable Rhode Island website to working on the building and the grounds of the Institute to organizing the RI Sustainable Living Festival and Clean Energy Expo.
