You might have heard about or already read this article written by John Mackey, CEO and co-founder of Whole Foods critiquing Obama's health care plan. If you haven't, here is the article:

People who shopped at Whole Foods understandably are confused and feel deceived since they assumed that a business that sells organic tomatoes for $5.00 a pound was automatically some kind of ethical business. Hence the boycott.
What do you think? Should Whole Foods be boycotted because of John Mackey's views? What do you think of his alternative to Obama's plan?
Personally, I am not that surprised at his views, Whole Foods is a business and John Mackey just found a need in the market that he filled, I did not necessarily expect him to be a liberal. However, I did not expect him to be such a #*&% either, providing his employees with a ridiculous insurance plan (cheap for him but with such a high deductible that people are actually paying for their health care). So I think I am not going to Whole Foods for a while. Besides, his arguments are not even intelligent. Anyone who knows anything about insurance in this country and with any kind of experience of health care in another, anyone who bothers to think anyway, will see that his arguments are nothing but cliches and his solutions are convenient to the rich ONLY.
So let the debate begin!
