Sneak trip to Tesla - I feel like a stalker

I found out yesterday that Tesla's HQ is only 2 miles from Huddler's HQ, so on the way back from a meeting today, I swung by and snuck some clandestine pictures on my cell...nothing revolutionary (unfortunately they don't just leave Whitestar prototypes lying around), but I must've looked pretty shady...I just got a pic of the front, and also, I think this is someone's Vectrix...glad to see they're supporting fellow EV companies...

I cannot believe you went without me.  Cannot believe it.

Oh boy leaving your co-workers behind when going on a field trip - tsk, tsk, Deej.

Nice looking building and Vectrix though!

HAHA, if we get a full tour, I promise you're in. We'll bring Dana if she's in the area.

He (not she).  That'd be cool, but I'm a ways off in the Sacramento area, and I presume you'd be going on a weekday anyway.  You should take lots of pictures whenever you go though!

Crap - sorry about the mix up Dana. Sacramento is plenty close, so we'll keep you posted and definitely post as many pictures as possible. I reached out to their PR team yesterday, so we'll see how much love they have for local startups...

No problem, I get that all the time.  Dang girls stealing my macho name have screwed it all up.

It doesn't strike me that Tesla would be opposed to giving tours of their facilities.  The more publicity the better, I would think.

Word.  Leaving the co-workers behind....I still cannot get over it.

I mean, really Deej.  I sit next to you most days!  And the one day this week I work from home...you stalk Tesla without me!  Tragic.  Just tragic.

Also...I'm just going to throw this out.  Vectrix California is located at 999 Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco.  I think that really should get a field trip too.

Hey I think I've been near there - isn't that close to Davies Symphony Hall?

Yeah, the Symphony's at 201 Van Ness - so I guess only a few blocks away!

Sweet, how about a field trip to Vectrix followed by a field trip to the SF Symphony?

I'm in!  I've never been to the symphony in San Francisco.  It's on my to-do list for sure.  And who could say no to electric motorcycles and a classy musical extravaganza?

Not me!

They're really good.  I haven't been to Davies in probably 5 years, but I did get to see the SF Symphony play at UC Davis last year.  Never seen an electric motorcycle in person though.  The closest I've seen are the Xebra and Zapino.  Course I'm not really a motorcycle person, but any speedy electric vehicle is worth checking out.

Looks like the Tesla - Vectrix crossover lovin doesn't just stop with Tesla employees.  It goes all the ways to Jay Leno:

Anyone who knows even a little about Jay Leno knows that not only is he a car nut, but he's also environmentally aware. His large vehicle collection includes a 1909 Baker Electric and many of us know he has a biofueled super car project under way. It's not a surprise then, that on his video-centric website, Jay Leno's Garage, the Tesla Roadster is now being featured. Leno also, not so long ago, did a segment with the Vectrix two-wheel and three-wheeled maxi-scooters.
