My dh loves to cook and loves to browse cook books, he'll sit down and read them just for fun often. So for fathers day I ordered 12 cookbooks off paperbackswap for him. we have a rule that we don't get each other or trisitan new things for gifts unless we can't find the item used or for some other reason getting it new is the only option to get it. We just don't see the point to gifts having to be 'new' items and feel it's basically just commercialism that's caused that view. anyways- so that's what he's getting for fathers day and I am going to print out a happy fathers day picture and have tristian color it as his gift to daddy. other then giving the gifts we don't have any real plans for fathers day. for my dad we got him a subscription to a magazine he use to get and for dh's dad we got him a low carb option cookbook (he's diabetic so these cookbooks are helpful for him, and he's where dh got his love of cooking and habit of 'reading' cookbooks from)
I just thought it would be neat to share our plans and gift ideas for fathers day :)
