Reverse Osmosis System

Thread Starter

My grandparents just installed a reverse osmosis system at their kitchen sink.  I thought it was a great way to go green, even though they have no concern with how eco-friendly they are!  I really like it, I just wondered how many of you have used them, if you think they're worth the money, and if you think it really seems to make that much difference in the taste of the water.

I like them and have one but don't know that I would call them all that green. They actually waste water which is then not fit for even the garden.

Taste may or may not be acceptable all depending on what one is looking for. The great majority of the chemicals/minerals are removed and with them the taste tends to go as well. Good for salt removal downstream of a water softner.

Why did they install it just out of curosity?
