What can my children and I buy their dad for father's day? I need some ideas. I want to buy him something planet-friendly of course and that could help him with his new organic vegetable garden. It also can't be too expensive. We are on a tight tight budget. Any guy garders out there? What is your favorite tool to use in the garden? How about gardening books?

There's the Complete Idiot's Guide to Vegetable Gardening. We had the author on the site a while back for an exclusive interview: http://greenhome.huddler.com/forum/thread/1225/exclusive-interview-author-dee-dee-bowman-shares-her-gardening-secrets. She was great.
I'd also recommend any of the TerraCycle products, maybe the TerraCycle Seed Starter or the Garden Fertilizer. TerraCycle is a company I've long been a fan of. They make their products entirely out of "trash" or what other folks would consider waste products. You can't get planet-friendlier than that!
Consider gardening gift basket. This basket will be full of practical garden items with a delicious assortment of gourmet items. Any gardening lover will be thrilled with this gift. Of course, giving a gift that has utility is one thing. On the other hand, taking Dad or DH to dinner is always good too. Hobby gifts are always cool and garden gifts are no exception.
