I just want to say that I don't use baby shampoo at all.  I have 2 boys, ages 4 and 2, and I wash their hair and their bodies with plain old castile soap.  Of course, it will burn if it gets in their eyes...but so do all of those "traditional" baby washes.  I tip their heads back, cover their eyes with a washcloth, and rinse their hair.  It cleans great with 0 chemicals!

That's great!  Have you tried washing your own hair with castile soap?  I haven't yet, but of course it's one of the many uses Dr. Bronner's lists for their soap.

I actually use castile soap to wash with daily, but I use Aubrey Organics for my hair.  But, I did use castile in my hair once.  I had been at my grandmother's house and left my shampoo and conditioner there, so I had to improvise.  I used olive oil to condition and then the castile to wash it out.  It was interesting to say the least, but it worked!  I do have frizzy, thin hair so if I used castile to wash and no conditioner that would not be good!  Oh, I also use Kirk's Castile instead of Dr Bronners, because it's only about a dollar a bar.
