Great product: Beach Sage and Citron Leaf Method Bloq. Goes on thin, dries quickly with no greasy feel. Lasts a long time. Best of all no petroleum products in it, in fact, all indgredients in...
The Venting does not meet the minimum required length to go out side?
It is vented in PVC so it looks like it goes outside right behind the boiler and the minimum length is 12' with a 90...
Have any of you guys seen the Green Porno series by Isabella Rosselini? They're on the Sundance Channel. They're kind of funny and it's interesting to learn a little more about bugs. The praying mantis one is probably my favorite. Mostly because i didn't know the females were cannibals:
I love the Manpollo series of videos on global climate change. It's a long and comprehensive series of videos in which a high school teacher explains the issue and reasons for action in very plain yet effective terms.
My son likes Totoro and Spirited Away, which both have a semi eco message for kids, but they're not really eco movies. I like Super Size me, which also wasn't technically a green flick, but the implications of fast food are far reaching in terms of waste, meat, etc, so I was glad someone called fast food out. Last Call for Planet Earth - 12 architects and their views on sustainability - not sure if you can rent it, but you can buy it. Building With Awareness - all about straw bale and excellent. Garbage Warrior (can you tell I like houses).
I also like this silly little video below because it amused my son, and I like to see kids making videos about the environment.
Things I want to see: The Lorax (coming soon) , I also really want to see No Impact Man and Flow, which I'm getting press screeners of soon - yay!
Favorite eco-themed video? Can I brag a little?
We created this video (with nothing more than Windows Movie Maker) to show our volunteers at work on Coastal Cleanup Day which was on September 19, 2009.
Except that nobody 'killed the electric car'! For something to be a success all the parts and pieces have to be there and fit together. Only now is it happening.
Only now are the batteries becoming of adequate capacity and then only just.
Battery cost is still way too far on the high side to attract 95%+ of the population.
Another couple of years and then we can hope.
The charging infrastructure is certainly not in place. For apartment dwellers - what to do? For home owners as well - if several electric cars were all put on fast charge at the same time on the same transformer while normal loads were on what happens?
It will take more than wishful thinking to replace a significant portion of the gas stations around the country and that is the capacity that will be required.
