But, there are so many hurdles to proceed and accomplish...... Can we do it?

Since EPA clearly says power plant is one of major targets of the issue, simple switch to EV may not be a perfect solution. It seems we need a lot more low power consumption EVs, including 2 or 3 wheels....

EVs are not a solution to everything any more than just solar power, wind/wave power would solve all energy problems.  Just a small part of a hopeful solution!

I enjoy 3 wheel recumbent trikes, but those are sometimes impractical- other times the perfect transportation solution.

EVs are part of the solution.  An enjoyable part for me!

I totally agree. I didn't mean EV could be a perfect solution of whole situation. It could be perfect solution for limited area like short distance transportation.

Yeah it's good to see the EPA finally take steps to regulate CO2 emissions.  It's something they should have done a long time ago.  First the (conservative) Supreme Court ruled that they had to regulate them, then the EPA continued to drag its feet under the Bush Admin for a further 2 years.  It's the Environmental Protection Agency for goodness sakes.  It's good to see them finally getting back to protecting the environment.
