SNL Junk Mail video

Thread Starter

I kept forgetting to post this video, but did anyone catch the hilarious "junk mail" attack Saturday Night Live had a few weeks ago? Found the video here:

My favorite is right at the beginning when the guy is walking past a forest:

When you look at this what do you see, a forest? At the Alliance of Direct Mail Marketers we see something far more wonderful. We see 250 Million pre-approved credit offers, 100 Million Radio Shack, or 6,000 tons of Sharper Image catalogs, and if you ask us, that beats a forest ANY day.

I signed the petition calling for a national Do Not Mail Registry at donotmail.org

They've gotten nearly 100k!

We really do need something enforceable, a la Do Not Call.

Haha, that's too funny.  Yeah...it's amazing how much junk mail still comes in snail mail form.  What a waste.

Ha, funny. Hadn't seen that one. Since no one's linked to it yet, here's the Green Home Huddle wiki on reducing junkmail: http://greenhome.huddler.com/wiki/how-to-reduce-junk-mail

Wow.  It's funny, but the sarcasim and exageration is based in part in truth - i really dispise junk mail.  We need that national opt-out list so more people can get less of that stuff.

I read somewhere that US residents recieve more "junk" mail than the entire rest of the world receives mail of any type - combined!!!

Watched it again - funny in a sad way, but we all need to keep our humor about stuff!
