Suggestion to add Organic Vegitables/Fruit under products?

Hi there

 

I think it would be a good idea to add a catogory for organic vegitables and fruit. 

 

I think it would be useful.

My $.02 about that is as much as I think fresh organic fruits and veggies would theoretically be great for the list, perhaps they may be better left to the forums with subjects like how-to-grow, store, sell, where-to-buy, etc. 

 

My reason is simple - how do you make a comprehensive list in the "Products" section for these when there are how many suppliers, grocers, farmers markets, backyards, etc.?!? - not easy to put a thumb on a marketed "brand" that would make sense.   ...IMHO.  :-)

Thanks so much for the suggestion, nztama.

 

As SoCalSolar mentioned, it's tough with vegetables and fruit (similar to difficulties with other fresh food) in that across the US (not to mention across the world), there are so many suppliers, farmers, etc. that it would be hard to standardize the listings for product reviews.

 

However, we could have a wiki potentially with divisions for state and regions for where to FIND organic fruits and vegetables.

 

Also, if you think it would be interesting to know who else in the community buys organic produce, we are working on some new ways to be able to "claim" non-product oriented choices, like "I walk to work" or "I bike to work."  We could certainly include organic produce shopping in there.
