What a shame they're ending the program!  We certainly need to be doing the opposite...meaning encouraging solar.  But I suppose the bad economy means rebate programs are getting nixxed.

Well, it looks like there is some funding available but it is on a first come, first served basis.  Fortunately, I got in in time for my rebate for my solar system.  The rebate is for 30% and maxes out at 10,000.00

Not bad.  Do you know how many people get to take advantage of the program?

I honestly don't think very many people have used this rebate as I think they only had about 1 million dollars for funding.  That's not much.  Illinois is in a financial mess right now so...I don't know about the future of this program.  The nice thing is the extension of a tax break by all the stimulus packages on the national level.
