Zap introduces all-electric van

ZAP has introduced the Zapvan Shuttle, a van for fleets which will have a top speed of 25 mph and range of about 30 miles.  It's not the prettiest thing, looking like an '80s shaggin' wagon, although it will have an optional solar panel on the roof:

Still, a pretty useful vehicle for certain purposes, and will cost just $14.75k.  ZAP adds to its extensive product line.

wow that is really low-cost -- i'm surprised.

yea, the van looks like shaggin' wagon!  ha.  it also looks a ton like vans that you see throughout asia (china)...wonder who did the design.

like that there will be an optional solar panel on the roof, too.

It's actually not a bad vehicle, the front seat is a little short on leg room, and the back seats have plenty, plus the back seats are removable for a big cargo space!  Makes it a pretty good commercial fleet vehicle for a good price.

Have you got any at your dealership, srj?

Nope, not yet, my boss brought back some photos from the NADA Conference.  A lot of them are blurry (he should stick to his day job) but I'll upload some to the product page.  He was descibing it to us this morning, sounds pretty cool.
