Best lollipops ever

Posted

Pros: Organic, corn-syrup free, GMO-free, etc. etc...and they're delicious!

Cons: Plastic wrap is probably not biodegradable, not so teeth friendly (but I suppose no candy is)

So I haven't had all of the flavors of Yummy Earth Organic Lollipops yet...I've had the Pomegranate Pucker, Mango Tango, and Sour Apple Tart.  Thus far...so delicious. Okay, okay, truth be told, I picked up a bag that's specifically meant for Halloween trick-or-treaters, but...I just couldn't resist.  I had to sample them.  Let's just hope I don't eat them all before the 31st! In terms of eco-friendliness, the lollipops are all natural and all organic.  That also helps with the people-friendliness too of course.  On top of that, they are great for little and big kids alike with food allergies (nut-free, soy-free, wheat-free, dairy-free, no sodium, etc).  And I really can't stress it...

Tooberry Blueberry

Posted

Pros: there are other flavors that are apparently deeelicious!

Cons: tooberry blueberry's not really doin' it for me

So maybe I just got the ugly duckling of the flavors - I was not impressed. In fact, I didn't even finish it - just licked on it enough to formulate an adequate review. Perhaps it is because I'm not really an artificial blueberry type. I have an incredible sweet tooth and I do enjoy a good lollipop.  The white part was just a little too weird for me. It doesn't taste like blueberry, but I'm not really sure what it DOES taste like. And, it leaves this undesirable, chalky texture on my tongue. The blue part seems to have a decent flavor but then it's hard to suck on a lollipop and only hit the "good" tasting part. Not a challenge I'm really up for... You know, I just realized in looking at...

Sweet Chili Lime Lambada!

Posted

Pros: Legit ingredients, actually tastes good

Cons: Packaging

The last time I tried a lollipop before this one, I spit it out, confirming my dislike for sweet things containing less than 60% chocolate. I mean, if demand for sweets was driven by a human population with a palate identical to mine, the sugar/sweeter industry would quickly become a thing of the past (possibly a good thing).  When I was offered a Chile Lime Lambada lollipop by none other than Green Home's Stins last week, I wanted to say "thanks but no thanks," but next thing I knew, the zesty pop was in my mouth. I'm still trying to figure out how it happened. But to my surprise, I was not hit by my typical immediate sweet-repulsion. I actually proceeded to finish the whole thing....

Just as yummy as the name implies

I had a "Mango Tango" lollipop sitting on my desk for a couple of weeks which I was hesitant to try because I've had some bad experiences with hippie candies in the past (carob is NOT a substitute for chocolate!), and I'm not much for mango.  I finally got around to trying it, and lemme tell ya, this thing is delicious. I'm impressed.  Delicious *and* made of natural, organic ingredients?  Not many candies can claim that.

Kid Requested!

Pros: Great taste!

Cons: Nothing yet.

I got two flavors as a sample.  We had grape and sour apple.  Both wer HUGE hits at our house.  As gross as it sounds, we all shared them.  We had to because we all wanted a taste.  I thought, as an adult, that they were both very flavorful and good tasting.  Sometimes kids candy can be too sweet or too sour.  These seemed right on spot with the flavor. Both kids (9&13) asked for me to "please please please buy these" for them.  I'm going to have to go in search of these suckers.  We live in a very small town so finding "specialty" organics is kinda hard.  I'm hoping to find these available online.Since I didn't buy the samples, I'm not sure about the price.  I'm hoping that the price...

yummy lollies

Pros: natural, organic, yummy

Cons: a little hit and miss on flavors

I sampled to of these lollipops - grape and sour apple.  The grape was pretty good, but I wasn't thrilled with the flavor.  It was just okay.  The sour apple was really good though.  Not too tart or sour, just enough for a good flavor.  I'm a huge pomegranite fan and would love to try that flavor sometime. It's cool that these lollipops are all natural and organic too.

yummy is an understatement!

Pros: great flavors

We were out shopping and found these candies at Winners, had never seen them before but since they had the organic stamp on them I let the kids con me into a treat...one bag of each of the available choices!!! I was delighted to find that even I would love the deep flavors of the lollipops. A little pucker and a lot of taste! Not at all to sweet. I'm the sucker now!!! Its rather hard to stop with just one! hmm now that I'm thinking about them I might have to make my way over to the treat cupboard!!

Pros: Tasty!

Cons: I only had one :-(

I second Stins' review. My grape lollipop was mouth-wateringly tart, and tasted like real grapes. It's easy to believe they're flavored with real juice--the flavor was so true-to-grape, I wouldn't be surprised if my lollipop  grew on a tree somewhere.

Yummy? Heck yeah

I've been enjoying the Hot Chili Pops.  I prefer the Lime, but the Mango is quite good as well.  Initially I was a bit worried to even give them a try...the thought of chili flavors in candy just didn't sound good.  I'm glad I did though, the flavors are really complimentary, and it's not more of the same old thing. I suggest everyone give them a try.

Pros: Good Flavor

I had the Mango Tango, I loved the flavor.  I am not much of a candy person, I don't usually like the feeling that it leaves on your teeth.  But this one was actually pretty good.  I didn't have that funny aftertaste in my mouth.  I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for something sweet to keep around.

Pros: Yummy

Cons: still candy?

We tried the strawberry flavor of these lollipops and it was yummy, just like the name says. Even our dog liked it (who got a lick kudos of my toddler who likes to share)

Great lollipops for the kids!

Posted

Pros: Kids love them!

Cons: ...uhm... none yet.

We rec'd some of these through a care package and the kids tried them out.  They loved them!  Seemed they were just as happy with these as any others.  Will likely pick up more of these in the near future. Mmmmmmm!!!
