My programable thermostat
Bigbike4 reviewed November 13, 2008 at 4:47 pm

I have been using programmable thermostats for years.  Why heat a house at full temp when you are not there, after all most pets have fur coats and you are not setting it to make the house a refrigerator!

This was the first touch screen one I have ever owned.  It took a little while to get use to just how touchy or lack of touchy the screen was, but soon it became second nature.  The unit is easy to use and you always have the ability to manually over ride the preset, for days when you are home sick or whatever and the unit is set to shut down the heater all day or all night.  I can't say that I am overly enthusiastic about this device, after all it is just a thermostat, but it does its job and does it well.  I installed mine myself and rate myself as just a homeowner with tool experience.  I got mine on a clearance sale from a local hardware store, so for the money it was a good deal

This is came with my apartment and did not come with a manual. I've tried to set a schedule on it unsuccessfully. It seems easy enough to set, but it doesn't seem to follow the schedule. I'm confused.
