Pros: Full of antioxidents, organic, delicious
Cons: Not super cheap
I like the idea of acai and superfoods. Unfortunately, not all products made from said superfoods taste good. That is not a problem with Sambazon Organic Juice. Their acai juices are thicker than your standard apple or grape juice, but definitely not as thick as a smoothie. Unlike the Zola Acai Juice I picked up a few weeks ago, Sambazon is really smooth and not gritty at all. There's no risk of throat irritation...and that's a good thing.
Flavor wise, Sambazon is pretty light. It's easy to drink and I'm a big fan of the fact that it's not too sweet. And for bonus points...it's organic, 100% vegan, and free of GMO's (in case you're picky about that stuff). It's a bit filling and not necessarily the most thirst-quenching thing to drink...but it's very tasty and delicious. So if you're in the mood for something a little different and about halfway on the juice-to-smoothie spectrum, I'd recommend this one. It's not super cheap, but it's got to be a good sign that I've been picking it up occassionally since I first tried Sambazon a year ago at SF Green Fest.
