Opta Energy Organic Energy Drink
Pros: Organic, one can has about the same amount of caffeine as 2 cups of coffee
Cons: Berry Fusion doesn't taste very good
So sometimes I like to mix up my "energy booster" with something other than coffee. The other day I picked up two cans of Opta Energy, one Passionate Orange, one Berry Fusion. Let's talk about taste first of all. There's something off with Berry Fusion. On the scale of energy drinks, it's clearly more natural...but it still has something of a synthetic taste to it. It wasn't very pleasant unless you like that. Passionate Orange wasn't too bad. It's more like carbonated juice (kind of along the lines of Juice Squeeze or something).
Now as for the energy boost...it wasn't too noticeable, but sometimes that's a good thing. The drinks definitely didn't leave me feeling jittery or wigged out in any way. I can't say they necessarily perked me up a ton. But I'd rather have more mild effects personally. Nutrition wise...well, it's organic which is good. Also as far as drinks go, it's nice that it has 100% of your daily Vitamin C, B2, B6, B12, etc.
At the end of the day, I'd probably get the orange flavor again, but if you're looking for a berry flavored energy drink, I'd recommend Sambazon Energy Drink instead...although I think it's a bit more expensive.
