Pros: Good ol' pain relief

Cons: Big ol' pills and they smell really bad

I'll paint a picture for you...one day, I was at work.  Then suddenly, light a bolt of lightning..bam!  Serious headache (okay, so maybe it didn't come on that quickly but in any case, there it was, and I couldn't keep ignoring it).  Unfortunately, we didn't have any Advil or Tylenol or any sort of pain reliever...

So off I went to Whole Foods because that particular situation was just no good.  I went up and down the aisles...I figured the HAD to have some standard headache something or other.  Well, I was wrong.  There was no Advil.  There was no Tylenol.  There was however Nutribiotic Relief Natural Aspirin Alternative made from willow bark extract.

I'll be honest, I was a little dubious but I needed something.  So I figured I'd give it a shot.  Finally I got back to work with my bottle of Nutribiotic.  Opened it up...and ooff...that stuff has a pretty pungent smell.  It's kind of vinegary almost...(so don't stick your nose in the bottle).  The pills are pretty hefty so I broke one in half and took each half one at a time.  And low and behold!  The headache was gone.

At this point, I've taken them for muscle aches too.  And they work!  It's solid.  I recommend them.  Just maybe broken in half so the swallowing isn't so tough.

Pros: Works!

Cons: Smells terrible, looks gross

So my close friend's son just had his 2nd birthday this weekend and I attended the festivities. He could best be described as "hugemongous." I just looked it up, he's actually off the charts - turned 2 and weighs 35+. He loves to play "fly to the moon" and always has (this is where I throw him very dangerously in the air and hopefully catch him.) I did this repeatedly this weekend and arrived at work this morning to find that my back isn't what it used to be...agony.

I was offered this natural aspirin alternative and couldn't believe that it actually works. Within 25 minutes I felt completely fine. Can't believe it.

Only down side is that the pills smell absolutely terrible. Sort of vinegary. They're also a lot larger than normal aspirin, but they work, so who cares?!

Nutribiotic Relief Natural Aspirin Alternative
Description:

Nutribiotic natural aspirin alternative is made with 390 mg of White Willow Bark extract. Q: Why would I want to take Relief, a natural aspirin alternative, instead of regular aspirin? Recently over-the-counter aspirin has shown to be beneficial in controlling blood clotting in blood vessels, decrease the risk of heart attack and stroke, and has been highly recommended for people with cardiovascular disease. However, aspirin is chemically synthesized into acetylsalicylic acid, a form that if taken daily long term, can have harmful side effects. Studies have shown that excessive aspirin use can cause stomach irritation through pain, nausea, or heartburn. Additionally, hemorrhaging in the gastrointestinal and urinary tract may occur. Other minor side affects include hives, excessive sweating, thirst, headache, and ringing in the ears. NutriBiotic Relief tablets contain salicin, which the body converts to salicylic acid and has the same effect on the body as aspirin without any of the harsh side effects. It is slowly converted in the body in comparison to the preformed acetylsalicylic acid of synthetic aspirin, so effects may last longer allowing smaller doses to be just as effective. Q: Can I take Relief tablets if I am allergic to aspirin? No, Relief tablets are formed from the same precursor (salicin) as synthesized aspirin. The only difference is Relief is metabolized in the body and synthesized aspirin is chemically produced in a stronger more dangerous form. Q: How many milligrams of aspirin/salicin does each Relief tablet equal? Each Relief tablet is equal to about 100 mg of aspirin/salicin. Ingredients: White Willow Bark Extract (25%) 390 mg, Buffered Vitamin C, Dicalcium Phosphate, Stearic Acid, Cellulose, Magnesium Stearate, and Silicon Dioxide.
