Simple Steps is a totally cute little deck of 3-3/4 x 5-1/2 in cards (51 in all). They're held together via black ribbon that runs through the hole punched cards.  You can use the ribbon to hang the deck anywhere you like, for example in the kitchen.

The entire deck and belly band are printed on recycled paper with soy based inks and organized room by room. Each room is color coded, which makes it easy for browsing. Living spaces covered include: kitchen, living room, home office, bathroom and laundry, children’s rooms, and garage and garden.
 

I like that the cards are pretty to look at, informational, and small - this deck fits right in the palm of your hand. You could play many cool eco-games with these cards. You could draw a random card each week and try to maintain that green tip. You could have each family member choose a card.
 

Each card comes with tips that take a specific amount of time, i.e. “Got a minute” – “Got a month” – “Got a morning.” Since this is not a book exactly, there's no end of book resources, but if the Natural Resources Defense Council has more info at their website they refer you.

Overall, I'd suggest this deck to people who are new to green living and looking for simple green tips that can be done quickly. I think that people who are fairly experienced with green living won't learn a bunch of new stuff, which was my only complaint. I liked the deck but my own little self didn't learn too many new green tips.

Still, if you've got family or friends who are trying to go green, this is an excellent and affordable small stocking stuffer.
