Overall it is a good compost maker which is faster than any other out there.  I have had absolutely zero odors with mine because I add the pellets that come with it - you must balance the greens and browns as they say.  Not that hard once you read the instructions.  It is quiet and fast.  I have the newer model so maybe that is why - the older models were not so good.
