Cons: Freezer bottom awkward.
We purchased this fridge to replace our "garage" fridge which was getting a bit old. I had wanted to get rid of that fridge entirely (energy issue), but with kids and the garage being a kind of "game room", had to have one out there to supplement the kitchen fridge. So my deal was it had to be real efficient, hold what we needed, and look good for the "game room" that our garage had become.
After hunting around quite a bit - we decided that this was the fit. It has been about 10 months as of this writting and it is doing great! It saves us on energy about what was on the EnergyStar label over our old fridge each month - and holds more stuff!!! The shelves are very adjustable throughout. We have the stainless steel finish. It shows fingerprints, but I figured that would happen so was prepared to clean it with SS finish cleaner about once a week. (Gives me more reason to be in the garage :) ...it runs quiet.
We have found that the "spill proof" floor of the top freezer is not the optimal design. It is recessed a little, and has about a 1 inch edge all the way around that is not - so stacking stuff either ends up tilting / unstable / falling out at times, or is inefficiently spaced away from the sides of the freezer. It is good to have some room around your frozen stuff, but since the base is recessed with a curved side, plus the 1 inch edge - you end up about 1.5 inches from each side if you stack in the middle only. That is a big space issue. We have opted for some tilt.
It is also necessary for me to mention where we purchased this item as the price was directly affected by it. Home Depot had this item and gave us an additional 10% off and shipping was fully refunded through another incentive they had (any appliance over $300). Our local power company also gave us a rebate, and picked up our old fridge and gave us $35.00 for that. So overall, our price was closer to just over $700.
