Great Soap/Best Price

I agree the soap is great to use and little ones have fun with all the colors and interesting smells.  $5.50 is indeed a bit steep.  You can do a lot better at SoapHope.com.

Zum Yum!

Posted

Pros: clean fresh scent, rinses clean, non-drying, gentle, good sudsing, great for whole family.

Cons: bars are small and don't last long enough for the money.

I recently purchased Zum bars at my local health food store. I got lavender mint, mint (smells heavenly) and almond for my daughter. This is the best soap! I love the mint scent, it reminds me of a chewing gum I chewed when I was a kid. It rinses clesn, doesn't dry od irritate our skin like many soaps do. Only downside is the cost (I paid $5.50 a bar) and size of bar(smaller). Zum soap is the best! If we could only afford it all the time...

Inside scoop - why Indigo Wild is wildly popular

Pros: long lasting smell, truly moisturizing, minimal environmental impact, fun-loving soap maker!

Cons: More information needed on packaging

Here is one soap line that has nothing to hide. You can literally see the ingredients put into these Zum Bars. In the Frankincense and Myrrh bar, you can see tiny white flecks from the all-natural herbs used in the recipe. Here's what's inside: Saponified 100% food grade olive oil, coconut, palm and caster oils, goat's milk, herbs, pure essential oils, fragrance oil and aloe. Although they don't list every pure essential oil on the packaging, you can go to their website and get more information on the ingredients. The packaging is small (also an environmental plus!) so it's hard to fit everything on the label before making it so small you would need a magnifying glass (which too many...

I love this soap and they are less expensive at Soap Hope

Posted
I agree with the others who say that the soap is quite pricey for the size - but I love these soaps.  I get mine at Soap Hope (www.soaphope.com) where they sell for a LOT less than retail.  They also have other really excellent all-natural soaps like Fraiche and A Wild Soap Bar.  I paid $3.99 for the Zum Bar soap on the soaphope.com site.  Also they ship the soap in something called an "Ugly Box" which is made of reused cardboard - a very cool idea that more businesses should emulate.  Their site also explains that they invest their profits in microloans for women entrepreneurs.  I really like the Soap Hope folks and recommend them to you.

My husband and I fight over this

Posted

Pros: smell

Cons: price

I have to start by saying that I love natural soaps and this is one of my favorites. My husband on the other hand is not a fan of essential oils and he thinks their smell is too strong for him. I was shocked to hear that he loved the smell of this soap and this is when we started fighting over it! It is not drying on the skin and leaves a wonderful smell that we both love (we use Ylang Ylang and Frankinsence and Myrrh)! I have also tried other scents by this soap, but these seem to be our favorites. The only drawback is the price, the bars are too small and sell for almost $5 and at the rate we go through them it is becoming a luxury...
