Hills Rotary 450 - "Large" Ocean Breeze

This rotary clothesline is made by Hills, an Australian company that has been in the clothesline business for over 60 years. Specially designed for durability and strength the
main assembly is constructed of powder-coated galv. steel. All lines are individually strung. Folds like a market umbrella and is easily removed for storage. When raised, will spin in the breeze. With arms open and latched, starting height is 5.6ft and hand crank allows for lines to be raised an additional 16in. Once fully raised the Rotary 450 will catch the breeze and spin in the wind while gently drying your laundry. The finely engineered lines are individually strung so there is no fear of a line breaking and having to restring the entire rotary. Also, by removing a line you are able to dry bulkier items such as comforters. This folding line hoist holds a large size family's wash with a total line length of 151ft. (46 m) Diameter of Rotary Post 2.25 in and requires 4.8ft (4.5m) diameter of yard space; outermost line is 7.8ft (2.4m) in length. The Rotary 450 comes with a ground socket that is easily set into the ground with gravel and cement. A set of spacers to raise the height of your rotary, if needed. A ground socket cap to be used if you remove the rotary and complete instructions. Line drying reduces your energy costs and extends the life of your clothing.

Pros: Easy to use, folds down and covers like an umbrella, spins in the breeze, very well made, remove from yard if you want your yard space.
Cons: Can't think of one.

I bought my rotary last spring. Don't let the price scare you. You get what you pay for . . . have you seen the real cheap ones at Lowes or Home Depot? They will not last and you will be sorry you bought and inferior brand. This Rotary is very well made and very high quality.

For as funny as it sounds, I was so excited to begin my new venture in line drying. I have always used a dryer and only hung clothes out on a drying rack. I really find this rotary clothesline so easy to use. Crank it open, load the laundry, crank it higher so it sets the line and then with any gentle breeze the lines spin and your clothes dry. My kids love watching it spin. I like getting outside and getting some air and sunshine.

I can just fold it down and put the cover over it (that was sold separately) and you don't really notice it in the yard. We had a party outside and we just took it out of the ground and hung it in the garage (hanging brackets are available too so you can store it out of site.) In Australia, everyone has a "Hills Hoist" in their yard and they think we are crazy for not line drying. So this rotary has been engineered to perfection as the company has been making them for over 60 years! And a 10 year warranty is awesome . . .I really think you would be very happy with this Hills product.

Pros: everything
Cons: none

I was looking for a good clothes line that would last me a long time and save me money not having to use my dryer and something that was removeable. I found the rotary 400 online and after reading up on it I decide to buy one and see how it works..Well let me tell you this was money well  spent. I live in Florida and with the hot days we have here it is a pleasure to hang the clothes out. The durability and quality on this is extremely good. The rotary rotates when the wind blows it.  It is good to smell the freshness on the clothes when I take them down.. You can buy other clothes lines out there for less money but it will not be as good quality or durabilty as the rotary. Like the old saying ,, you get what you pay for.. You will not be disapointed if you buy this and it is money well spent.I know by hanging my clothes outside and noit having to turn on the dryer 12 times a month this rotary has already paid for it.
