GoodBelly Probiotic Fruit Drink

Posted

Pros: organic, full of vitamins, not too sweet

Cons: wasteful packaging

I picked up two packs of the GoodBelly Blueberry Acai probiotic fruit drink the other day at Whole Foods.  Honestly, I'd never heard of it before and probably wouldn't have gotten any had it not been for a gal standing there pushing the two-for-one deal.  So I got two packs and I'm nearly done with them now.  I'm not really sure if my digestive health has really improved...but I like the fact that there are so many vitamins in the drink and it tastes pretty good too!  The consistency is a bit heartier than your average juice but it's thinner than a smoothie.  Flavor wise, neither the blueberry or acai really dominate but I think the best part is that it's not excessively sweet.

My only real issue with it is that the "probiotic fruit drink shots" are pretty wasteful in terms of packaging.  You get 2.7 ounces in this little plastic container and four per container, then wrapped up in a cardboard package.  If I get this stuff again, I'll definitely try getting one of the cartons instead of the single serve ones.  But all in all, it's pretty tasty.
